Long term use of the oil filter will continue to accumulate impurities, gradually leading to saturation and blockage. Before failure, the vehicle will show obvious warning symptoms. The owner should identify and replace it in a timely manner to avoid serious engine damage.
Firstly, abnormal oil pressure, intermittent illumination of the instrument panel oil pressure warning light, low oil pressure during idle, and severe pressure fluctuations during acceleration are typical signals of clogged filters and poor oil flow.
Secondly, the engine noise has increased, causing the previously smooth and silent engine to produce dull noises and slight idle vibrations. The core reason is insufficient lubrication and increased frictional resistance of metal components.
Thirdly, the power decreases, fuel consumption skyrockets, oil circulation efficiency decreases, engine running resistance increases, power output lags behind, acceleration is weak, and daily fuel consumption significantly increases.
Fourthly, the engine oil quickly turns black. Newly replaced engine oil quickly becomes cloudy and black in a short period of time, indicating that the filter is ineffective and impurities cannot be intercepted properly, resulting in continuous contamination of the engine oil.
Fifth, if the engine water temperature is too high and lubrication is not smooth, it will also reduce the heat dissipation effect of the engine oil, accumulate heat in the engine, and the water temperature is prone to abnormally high, resulting in frequent high-speed fan operation.
If any of the above symptoms occur, there is no need to wait for the maintenance cycle. It is necessary to immediately check and replace the filter, clean the impurities in the oil circuit, and prevent the fault from continuing to expand and damaging the core components of the engine.
