Air filter classification
The air filters on the engine can be divided into three categories: inertial filters, filter filters, and comprehensive filters. According to the material of the filter element and whether it is immersed in oil, it can also be divided into two categories: dry filter and wet filter.
Dry air filter, filter element material is filter paper or non-woven fabric. The filter element is processed into small folds to increase the air circulation area. The air filter widely used in automobiles is a paper filter. The filter element made of resin treated microporous filter paper has good filtration effect and is easier to maintain.

Maintenance of dry air filters
When maintaining a conventional dry air filter, do not use water, diesel, or gasoline to clean the paper filter element. Vibration method, soft brush removal method, and compressed air back blowing method can be used to remove dust and dirt on the surface of the filter element.

With the widespread use of paper core air filters, some people still believe that the filtering effect of paper core air filters is not good. In fact, paper core air filters are lightweight and cost-effective. Compared to oil bath air filters, they have better filtration performance and are easier to install and maintain.
