Today, the engine is basically equipped with high pressure common rail fuel system (HPCR), pressure and tolerance is more stringent. Once water or impurities penetrate into the fuel supply system, the engine is prone to damage or even early scrapping. Diesel filter can filter water or impurities to avoid mechanical wear and damage to the engine.

Diesel filter classification
The diesel filter structure is roughly the same as the oil filter, which is divided into two kinds: interchangeable filter and rotary filter. The working pressure and oil temperature resistance of the diesel filter are much lower than that of the oil filter. The high temperature of the engine operation will be transferred to the oil, so the oil filter needs to be able to withstand high temperature, and the fuel filter only needs to meet the smooth fuel supply at room temperature. However, the requirements for the filtration efficiency of diesel filters are much higher than that of oil filters.

Diesel filter, according to the different functions of the filter, the filter can also be divided into three categories: diesel water separator, diesel crude filter, diesel fine filter.
1, oil and water separator of diesel filter: the main function is to separate the water in diesel oil. The presence of water will rust, wear, jam and even worsen the combustion process of diesel. In addition, the diesel oil in China has a high sulfur content and reacts with water to corrode engine components during combustion.

2, the crude filter of diesel filter: the main role is to initially filter the larger impurities in diesel oil, generally installed in the tank.

3, the fine filter of diesel filter: under the national four standard, the diesel fine filter is mainly used to filter the impurities of 3-5μm in diesel oil, which is the main filtration component. The oil-water separator and fine filter are generally installed outside the fuel tank and are easy to maintain.
