The deformation of the oil filter housing and filter element is a common fault, which is often caused by external forces, working conditions, and improper installation. After deformation, the filtering function will be directly lost, and it needs to be dealt with in a timely manner.

Common causes of deformation:
Firstly, the installation torque is too high, forcibly tightening the filter and squeezing the outer shell can cause indentation and deformation, resulting in the internal filter element collapsing under pressure;
Secondly, the oil pressure is abnormally high, and the engine oil circuit malfunction leads to excessive pressure, which impacts the filter housing and causes bulging deformation;
Thirdly, inferior filter materials are thin and have poor compressive strength, and can deform under normal working pressure;
Fourthly, external force collision may cause damage to the filter during vehicle maintenance or bumpy driving, resulting in external deformation. Deformation faults pose great harm, as internal filter collapse can block oil circuits and filter failure, and deformation of sealing structures can cause oil leakage and unstable pressure.

Solution:
Slight appearance deformation, intact internal filter element, can be closely observed and used; The filter element collapses, the shell bulges, and the seal deforms, and a new machine filter must be replaced immediately; Re standardize installation, control tightening force, investigate oil pressure faults, and prevent secondary deformation.
