In hot summer weather, the engine operates at high load for a long time, causing a significant increase in oil temperature. The oil filter is prone to aging, failure, and blockage, and requires targeted maintenance. In high temperature environments, the viscosity of engine oil decreases and the oxidation rate accelerates, making it easier to generate gum and sludge. The production of impurities increases significantly, and the filtration pressure of the machine filter increases dramatically. The filter paper of ordinary inferior machine filters will soften, deform, and break due to high temperature, and the sealing gasket will accelerate aging and leakage.
Summer maintenance tips:
Firstly, priority should be given to using high-temperature resistant and long-lasting machine filters that are suitable for high-temperature working conditions. The filter materials and seals can withstand temperatures above 120 ℃ and are not prone to aging and failure;
Secondly, shorten the replacement cycle of the filter. The summer working conditions are harsh, and it should be replaced 1000 kilometers earlier than the regular cycle;
Thirdly, avoid long-term idling and exposure to sunlight, reduce the accumulation of high temperatures in the engine, and slow down the rate of oil deterioration and impurity generation;
Fourthly, regularly inspect the appearance of the filter to see if there are any issues such as oil leakage, bulging of the casing, or deformation. If any abnormalities are found, replace it immediately. Proper maintenance of the summer filter can effectively prevent engine failures under high temperature conditions.
